Joseph L. Amaral

Partner Joseph L. Amaral has been practicing since 1973 after receiving his law degree from Indiana University (Bloomington). He is admitted to practice in all Indiana Courts, the federal district courts in Northern and Southern Indiana, and the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a certified civil mediator and arbitrator. Mr. Amaral focuses his practice on health care issues, civil litigation, and domestic relations, as well as civil mediation and arbitration. He serves as general counsel to Memorial Hospital of South Bend, Memorial Medical Group and Memorial Health System.

Mr. Amaral is a member of several professional associations, including the American Health Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association and St. Joseph County Bar Association.

He and his wife, Ella, have one son, Joe, Jr. When not working, Joe enjoys playing golf, spending time with his family, reading and attending sports events.
